Welcome new public works employees- we are now fully staffed!

The Public Works Department is now fully staffed again! Welcome Brandon Huth, Justin Finley, and Steve Henthorn, the newest members of our public works team. Together, they bring to Wabasha tons of experience with construction, equipment, horticulture, landscaping, and mechanics. Justin and Brandon will spend the majority of their time maintaining our streets, sidewalks, trails, campgrounds, marinas, and parks. Steve will be focused on keeping our water infrastructure and wastewater treatment plant operating smoothly. All three will be teaming up to respond to public works emergencies and to keep our sewer lines free of debris.

We’ve also got another new face around town- our new plow truck. This bright orange truck is critical to keeping our streets cleared and salted this winter. A little over one-third of the cost of the truck was paid for with a USDA Grant. Having working equipment and experienced team members keeps our city running smoothly. What a great start to the new year!
