The City of Wabasha City Council approved its Downtown Streetscape Plan on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. The project includes ideas to improve Wabasha’s downtown as part of the 2023 Street Improvement Project. The plan will add landscaping and wayfinding signs to Wabasha’s downtown. The plan outlines ideas for:

  • Furniture and Site Amenities:  Benches, Litter Receptacles and Bike Racks
  • Street Trees/Tree Grates and planter pots
  • Historic lighting and light poles to accommodate future opportunities for hanging baskets
  • Wayfinding Signage and Branding:  Pole Mounted Wayfinding Signage, Parking Lot Signage, and Informational Kiosk
  • Plain Concrete and Colored Concrete accents
  • A Public Restroom Facility: Near Lawrence Blvd and the Highway 60 bridge
