
January 9, 2026, is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.). The City of Wabasha recognizes the difficult situations, hard work, and sacrifices that law enforcement personnel face each day. That’s why we encourage citizens to take a moment on January 9th to show their support for our local law enforcement officers. We are grateful for the positive impacts law enforcement has within our community.
This year, the City of Wabasha Police Department, officers finished the year with over 4000 calls for service and secured numerous important criminal convictions.
” Over my almost 25 years of serving this community I can say this is the finest group of Officers that I have worked with and collectively we take great pride in serving our community,” said Chief Joe Stark of his officers, ” My Officers are dedicated to our community and serve with professionalism and experience in any situation.”
The Wabasha Police Department has built expertise within the department trained to instruct classes that they need to maintain our licenses as a Department and above and beyond. Here are some highlights of the skills and special training our officers have:
