Wabasha is celebrating its 19th year of Septoberfest, a celebration of fall that decorates the entire town with fall displays that change ever year, music, shopping, and a variety of fun kids activities every Saturday, starting September 19th-October 24th.
Each Saturday brings something different to Heritage Park in downtown Wabasha. There are some new events like the Pumpkin King Creations live pumpkin carving, a chalk artist, Mixed Nuts Comedy Duo for kids, Happy Jolly Llamas, and fall-themed Minute to Win It games.
The Septoberfest Committee and Wabasha Chamber CVVB is bringing some old favorites and asking folks to sign up now.
The Riverwalk (Volksmarch) happens on Saturday, October 3rd at 10am, with a collectible medallion for each participant, who participates in the 5k/10k along the river. https://www.wabashamn.org/septoberfest/registration/
The Pumpkin Derby is another favorite, where children race their pumpkin mobiles down a track. Kids can get a pumpkin race car derby kit and decorate at home or decorate before the event at 1pm. Register online to secure your spot, although day of registration available while supplies last. https://www.wabashamn.org/event/pumpkin-derby/ . Prizes will be for the best decorated and the fastest pumpkin craft.
“ Whether you just love fall decorating and shopping at our Fall Vendor Market, or getting creative with pumpkin decorating, Wabasha’s Septoberfest has something for you,” said Sherry Murphy, Septoberfest Co-Chair. “I am really excited for families to experience all the great events we have lined up this year”.
Finally, a big thank you to Wabasha Public Works Department, the SeptOberfest committee, and all the volunteers for your help in making this SeptOberfest a success.
