Karla Klemme
Wabasha Public Library
The City of Wabasha and the Wabasha Public Library are excited to welcome Karla Klemme to the library team. Karla brings 16 years of experience from the Rice Lake Public Library in Rice Lake,Wisconsin.
Karla grew up in Wabasha, so returning to the community feels a little like coming home. After raising their families in Rice Lake and becoming empty nesters, she and her fiancé Dave recently moved back to Wabasha and are enjoying fixing up her childhood home.
Outside of the library, she loves hiking, reading, hosting family and friends, and spending time with her three children, three bonus children, and seven grandchildren. Karla’s golden retriever, Luka, is a big part of her life as well and her favorite companion for walks, adventures, and relaxing at home with a book
Karla is excited to bring her years of library experience back to her hometown and looks forward to getting to know the patrons and families who make the Wabasha Public Library such a special part of the community.
