City Accepting RFP’s for City Legal Services

City of Wabasha RFP for Legal Services

The City of Wabasha is requesting qualifications and proposals for Legal Services from firms experienced in municipal law. Firms may choose to be considered for either or both of the following services: 1) City Attorney 2) Prosecuting Attorney. The City of Wabasha is a home rule charter city amended in 1987 and operates under a Mayor/Council form of government with a full-time City Administrator. The Mayor and six Council members are elected to four-year terms. The City has the following commissions and boards as follows: The Ambulance Commission, Planning Commission, Heritage Preservation Commission, Library Board, Police Commission, Streets/Parks Commission, Port Authority and Utility Commission. The City employs a full-time staff of 24. The City has also utilized additional firms to provide bond counsel service and to work with TIF-related development issues.
